Dr. Sandeep Chauhan is a well certified orthopedic surgeon with an experience that spans more than 24+ years.
He is known for his expertise in treating hip and knee joint replacement, complex fractures reconstructions and musculoskeletal infections.
He is a visiting clinician at Mt. Sinai Hospital Toronto and Mayo Clinic Rochester Mn. U.S.A. and his primary focus is on successful clinical results and comfortable rehabilitation.
He has a thorough knowledge of merging old and new technologies which includes Platelet rich plasma injections, MIS, subvastus and alternative bearings for younger patients: ceramic, metal, andplastic, where they are indicated, revision of total hip and total knee replacement and peri-prostheticfractures.
He has also acquired a specialized training in computer assisted joint replacement surgeries and is named amongst the few surgeons in India who have the experience of conducting Robotic joint replacement.
Dr. Chauhan’s research interests include preventing and tackling infections in joint replacements, fixation of calcaneal fractures and fractures in osteoporotic patients.
Dr. Chauhan is a member of Indian Orthopedic Association and Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Dr. Chauhan studied MBBS from Shivaji University in 1995, MS in Orthopedics from PGIMS in 2000 and completed his DNB in Orthopedics/Orthopedic Surgery from DDU Hospital in 2002. He acquired Joint Replacement fellowship training under Dr. Brig B.K.Singh at Army Hospital R&R, New Delhi and Dr. C.S. Ranawat at Hospital for special surgery New York.
