Dr. Shiv Kumar Choudhary is a well-known Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon.
With over 32 years of experience, he performs over 500 major cardiac procedures annually.
Dr. Choudhary specialises in Aortic dissection, Pulmonary thrombolysis, Heart Transplant, LVAD and several other cardiac procedures.
He did his MBBS and MS (CTVS) from GVSM, Kanpur.
In 1996, he did MCh (CTVS) from AIIMS, Delhi in 1996.
He has developed innovative techniques for percutaneously adjustable pulmonary artery band, antegrade cerebral perfusion, modified ultrafiltration, valves patch for ASD/VSD closure, congenital tricuspid valve repair, and left atrial reduction and pulmonary vein isolation.
Dr. Choudhary trains young surgeons, mentors other cardiac surgeons, formulates national guidelines, and develops newer and inexpensive India-specific solutions.
